Well...
I'm 16 weeks pregnant and feeling the baby randomly (usually when my bladder is full!) which is exciting. With Breyton, I didn't confess to feeling him until like 22 weeks. Where the placenta is also determines what you can feel...how much the baby has to kick through. Maybe it's better placed this time :) We're looking forward to finding out what the baby is around 22 weeks! Not too much longer. Too bad it will be after Christmas; it would fun to unveil it then!
The family is sick with colds right now. Lots of tissue and cold medicine! This is the first sickness of the season. How fun. I think it came from nursery at church (when does it not??). Good thing Breyton moves to the Toddler room now. Not that toddlers are without runny noses but it seems like after you get past that year mark, you see far less colds than before. Due to the colds, we missed out on seeing Joe, Liz, and Micah this week. We would be there now! I am somewhat relieved for the fact of 7 days of rest after a busy holiday and work week... but definitely bummed. We will see them sometime at the end/beginning of the year and I am looking forward to it!
Breyton is showing that he is getting close to two. There have been far more spanks this last week than we've had for a while. Parenthood has been difficult lately. Consistency is hard when you're worn down! Add pregnancy hormones into the mix and it's no fun sometimes. Poor husband had to get me through my first pregnancy meltdown last night.
But with age also comes some fun things with Breyton too! He is beginning to really try to say a lot of words lately. Yesterday Jon said he said "please" (which he only signed it before)...in his own way of course. I got to hear his version tonight. Sounds like "bea" or "blea." Today we were in Hobby Lobby and he pulled a pin out of one of the fabric rolls and was going to stick it in his ear (Q-tip?). I caught him just before he probably poked himself and said, "oh no, ouch!" So then, very loudly he thought it was fun to repeatedly say, "OW" "OW!" The ladies at the fabric cutting counter thought he was too cute. His vocab right now (what he's been saying for awhile) has been hi, bye, Dad, Mom, Papa, umm, uh-oh, juice, baby, this ("dis), and maybe some others but those are the main ones. Another newer one is shoe (work in progress), "foo." It's funny cuz he really tries to think on that one; watches your lips. When we're brushing his teeth, he'll grab Jon's (or mine sometimes) toothbrush and say, "dad-zz." Far too many times I guess we've said, "no that's Dad's toothbrush." :) He'll also do it when Jon's away from his computer briefly and he'll go hurry in there to type at his desk, so when you walk in he'll say, "dad'zz." Funny what they pick up. Oh today, he was playing with his toy computer and it has some button on it (a picture of a baby?) that when you hit it, it says, "I'm hungry, um-num-num-num." So as he was pushing it he was saying, "um-um-um-um." And then gave me a big smile. :) But yeah, most of the time if you ask him to say something, he'll try. Or he'll say "eh" ... meaning, "that's all you're gonna get."
Jon's been busy busy with work as usual. They picked up a Chinese website recently that has added to their busy-ness. I asked him what else is new with you? And he said, "I'm gonna be a dad again." So, there you go.
That's about what I can come up with right now.

I got your card today Jenn. I'm excited to see you Saturday. Very excited. If you are bringing B, GREAT, because C will be there too! Lovin' you lots and lots. I think I'm getting a cold...my throat hurts...you know what that means, super deep, sexy voice "might" be coming in the next day or two! Anyway, great blog update. My mothering heart can resonate with more faithful training of a son :). Love, Grace
