I forgot to mention on our second day in Waikiki, Kim and I made our own lei's at our hotel.
And then we lei'd our husbands! Hehe.
Today, we're just taking a relaxing day after our busy out and about day yesterday. We headed out to the Pearl Harbor Memorial and took a boat out to the Arizona that is still under water with it's shipmates inside. You can see the top of part of the ship from the platform they built for you to walk around on. The film they show you beforehand is really good and gives you a good understanding of the history of it all. They were doing construction on most of the other areas, including the museum and the other ship, the Missouri, which you can normally go inside and see everything inside. After, we got lunch, headed to a park to eat it and went to the airport to wait for our 4pm flight to Kona.
It was dark when we got to our unit last night... but it is a beautiful sunny day today. We only have plans to go to the pool and maybe the snorkling beach later. I love lazy days! There are trees all over here with the typical flowers you see in lei's so they're easy to pick and put in your hair. Breyton liked the one I had behind my ear this morning, just kept bending over to look at it. I put one behind his ear this morning - on the right so all the girls would know he was available :) He took it out a couple minutes later and I told him to go give it to grandma.
Breyton's napping now and then off to the pool. I think he loves laying down for naps here. I think he cherishes the time :) Seems like a lot of the time we're out and about and he's so tired and tries to rest his head on table tops and what-not. Especially toward late afternoon when it's really closer to his bedtime at home. So, he's been very happy to hit the hay here :)
